一、《四川统计年鉴-2006》是1988年公开出版以来的第19卷，是一部全面反映四川省经济和社会发展情况的综合性统计资料年刊。本年鉴收录了全省和各市(州)、县(市、区)2005年经济和社会各方面的大量统计数据，以及历史重要年份和近年来的全省主要统计数据。本年鉴内容在《四川统计年鉴-2005》18个部分的基础上扩编为24个部分。其中，新增加了民营经济、能源、房地产销售及价格、农村扶贫、卫生防疫和其他社会活动等方面的统计资料。同时，根据第一次全国经济普查结果对工业、固定资产投资、国内贸易和国民经济核算的历史数据进行了修订。
二、《四川统计年鉴-2006》共分为24个部分，即：1．行政区划和自然资源；2．综合；3．国民经济核算；4．人口；5．就业人员和职工工资；6．固定资产投资；7．能源；8．环境保护；9．财政和物价；10．人民生活和社会保障；11．城市概况；12．民族自治地方概况；13．市县概况；14．农业；15．工业；16．建筑业；17．交通运输、邮电和通讯；18．国内贸易；19．对外经济贸易和旅游；20．金融和保险；21．教育、科技和专利；22．文化、体育和卫生；23．其他社会活动；24．企业调查。为帮助读者理解和使用统计数据，在每部分之后附有主要统计指标解释。
三、本年鉴中所使用的度量衡单位均采用国际统一标准计量单位。
四、本年鉴中，如有统计口径等因素变化，我们均在表下加了注释，使用时请注意。
五、本年鉴表中的符号使用说明：
“…”表示数据不足本表最小单位数；
“空格”表示该项目统计数据不详或无该项数据；
“#”表示其中的主要项。

Ⅰ. Sichuan Statistical Yearbook 2006 is the 19th volume of Sichuan Statistical Yearbook, an annual statistics publication to reflect various aspects of Sichuan's economic and social development,which has been published in public since 1988, which covers very comprehensive data series in 2005 and some selected data series in historically important years and the most recent years at provincial level, local levels of prefecture and level of county. Sichuan Statistical Yearbook 2006 was expanded from 18 chapters to 24 chapters by adding statistics on Civilian-owned Economy, Energy, Sales and Price of Real Estate, Supporting Poverty in Rural Area, Health Vaccination and Other Social Activities. The historical data of Industry, Investment in Fixed Assets, Domestic Trade and National Accounts is amend according to the result of the First National Economic Census.
Ⅱ. Sichuan Statistical Yearbook 2006 contains the following 24 parts, 1. Division of Administrative Areas and Natural Resources, 2. General Survey, 3. National Accounts, 4. Population,5. Employment and Wage, 6. Investment in Fixed Assets, 7. Energy, 8. Environment Protection, 9.Local Government Finance and Price, 10.People's Livelihood and Social Welfare, 11.City, 12.Survey of Minority Nationality Autonomous Areas, 13. Survey of Municipality and County, 14. Agriculture,15. Industry, 16. Construction, 17. Transportation, Post and Telecommunications Services, 18.Domestic Trade, 19. Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and International Tourism, 20.Banking and Insurance, 21. Education, Science, Technology and Patents, 22. Culture, Sports and Public Health, 23. Other Social Activities, 24.Enterprise Survey. Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators is attached to the end of each chapter to help the readers to understand and use the statistical data in this book.
Ⅲ. The units of measurement used in this book are international standard measurement units.
Ⅳ. The concepts, definitions and coverage of statistics of some data in this book have been adjusted, which are not comparable with former years, therefor some notes are added in this book.Users are alerted to the notes about the difference in the concepts, definitions and coverage of statistics when using and comparing data in this book.
Ⅴ. Notations used in this book:
"…" indicates that the figure is not large enough to be measured with the smallest unit in the table,
"(blank)"indicates that the data not available,
"#" indicates the major items of the total.
