一、《甘肃年鉴》是甘肃省人民政府的大型综合性年刊，它以大量翔实可靠的资料，全面记载了甘肃政治、经济、军事、法律及社会发展情况，反映了改革开放以来，甘肃社会、经济建设所取得的重大成果，是各级党政领导、经济管理部门、企事业单位和科研部门进行科学决策、咨询和研究的重要工具书之一。 二、《甘肃年鉴》1996年刊在记载1995年甘肃社会经济发展情况的同时，还反映了“八五”时期甘肃经济建设成就。 三、《甘肃年鉴》1996年刊共分为三大部分：第一部分设特载、自然概况、政治、法律、军事、经济、社会事业、财政税务、金融保险、社会生活、民族、地县概况12个篇目，70万字，第二部分以大量、准确、可靠、翔实、权威的统计资料大容量密集型的信息设综合、人口和劳动力、固定资产投资、能源原材料消费与库存、财政税收、物价、人民生活、城市概况、农业、工业、建筑业、交通运输邮电通讯业、批发零售贸易餐饮业、对外经济贸易和旅游业、金融业、教育、科技及文化事业、体育、卫生及其他事业、少数民族、分地县主要指标及附录，共20个篇章，338块版统计资料。以上两部分全面系统地描述了1995年甘肃国民经济和社会发展的整个运行状况和发展态势，也是甘肃人民在各条战线上奋力拼搏所取得成果的真实写照。第三部分以彩色插图的形式，介绍了甘肃省名优新特产品和企事业、金融部门，为国内外名界读者提供了甘肃及其工农业产品的知名度，以此宣传甘肃、介绍甘肃。 四、《甘肃年鉴》1996年刊所使用的统计数据，均以统计局的数据为准，由于制度方法改革，有些统计资料的包括范围、口径和计算方法有所变化，有些统计数据不完全可比，请使用时注意。特载篇的讲话、报告中所引用的统计数字，是当时的初步统计数字，收进本书时未做调整。 五、《甘肃年鉴》是在国家、省、市各级领导和有关部门的关怀和支持下，经过全省各行各业、各单位的大力配合，奋力合作的结果，是集体智慧的结晶，对此，向为《甘肃年鉴》编辑出版工作做出贡献的单位和同志们一并表示衷心的感谢。 由于编辑水平有限，编辑工作难免有遗珠，恳请广大读者批评指正。; 1、Gansu Yearook is a large-scale, synthetic annual publication of Gansu People’s Government. With large, full and accourent, reliable materials. it all records Gansu politics, economy. military affairs.law and social development, also represents the important achievements of Gansu social and economic construction since the refor-mation and opening to the outside. It’s also one of the important reference books for the Party and government leaders at all levels, economic management departments, enterprises and institutions, scientific research depart-ments carrying out scientific decision, consultation and research. 2、Gansu Yearbook in 1996 records the condition of Gansu social and economic development, also represents the achievements of Gansu economic construction during the period of the 8th five-year plan. 3、Gansu Yearbook in 1996 is divided into three parts. The first part has 12 copies of 700 thousand words such as special publishing, Gansu survey, politics, law, military, economy, social facilities, finance and tax. fi-nance and insurance, social life, nationality, survey of prefectures and counties. The second part, with large, exact, reliable, full and accurent, authoritative statistical materials and large capacity of close informations, is composed of 20 chapters and 338 pieces statistical materials such as general survey, population and laborforce, investment in fixed assets, consumption and inventory of energy original materials, public finance and tax rev-enue, price, people’s livelihood, survey of cities, agriculture, industry, construction, communication, trans-portation, post and telecommunication services, wholesale, retail sales and catering trades, foreign economic trade and tourism, banking, ldacation, culture, science and technology, sports, health care, welfare services and others, ethnic minority groups, main indicators by prefectures and counties, appendix, and etc. The above parts all and systematically describes the total motion condition and development state of Gansu national economy and social development, also is a true portraiture of the achievements gained by Gansu people on all fronts. The third part introduces Gansu famous, excellent, new and special products, enterprises and institutions, financial departments by the way of colour pictures. It offers the well-known degree of Gansu province and its industrial and agricultural products to domestic and foreign readers at all circles so as to propagate and introduce Gansu province. 4、The statistical dates used in Gansu Yearbook in 1996 all take the dates of the statistical bureau as the standard. Because of the reformation of the statistical system and means, the including scopes and requirements and counting means of some statistical materials have changed, some statistical dates are not completely con-stant. Please pay attention to them when you use. The statistical dates quoted in the speeches and reports of the special publications are the tentative statistical dates at that time which were not adjusted. 5、With the care and support of the leaders at all levels of the state, province and city, and the concerned de-partment, Gansu Yearbook is a crystalization of collective wisdom after vigorous and furious cooperation of all trades and professions and all units in Gansu province.
